Wow. Yongshuo is one of the prettiest places on earth. We began our day with a drive through rice fields, bustling villages, and sharp limestone mountains.
When we arrived at the Li River we boarded river boats made of pvc pipe and whatever else the boat crafters could find. The views from the river boat elicited many "ooos and aaaahs"; sites included mountains goats and endless mountains.
After disembarking, we walked for about an hour. It was hot. There was sweat, a small fall (don't worry, no one's hurt), shin splints, a stomach ache, and, perhaps I didn't emphasize this factoid enough: it was hot. At the end was a Popsicle and delicious meal--in that order, because without parents Around we can have dessert first😛.
We relaxed in hotel rooms for the late afternoon. At least the adults did: I heard rumor that the girls tested out the jump ability of their beds...
Dinner was delicious and then we spent some more time in a bustling market. Your children are buying you many treasures😉. My favorite purchases have been the splatter heads that stick to the wall when you throw them and the color changing plastic frog sculpture. Perhaps you will be the lucky recipient.
Tomorrow we visit some amazing cave (I forget what it's called. We then fly out to Shanghai. I can't believe this trip is halfway over. What will I do without these wacky teeny boppers around to entertain me?
